Meet the Artists

Theo Allyn

Theo Allyn is delighted to be joining Pitt for her third year as a Teaching Artist! Regional Theatre: Izzy in Rabbit Hole (Hudson Stage), Gretchen in All Through the Night (Red Fern Theatre), Mezzulah in Mezzulah, 1946 (Florida Stage). Pittsburgh Theatre: Bricolage, City Theatre, the REP, Pittsburgh Irish and Classical, Jewish Theatre of Pittsburgh. Up next: Nellie Lovett in Sweeney Todd and Phoebe in As You Like It at the Public.

 

 

 

 

Ken Bolden

Ken Bolden is one of the Pitt Theatre Department's teaching artists. Local: Public Theatre, The Comedy of Errors (Angelo), Amadeus (Valet), The Odd Couple (Vinnie); Barebones, Bug (Dr. Sweet); Pittsburgh Irish and Classical, Julius Caesar (Flavius/Artemidorus), Anthony & Cleopatra (Mardian); Quantum, Twelfth Night (Antonio); 4th River Project's American Humbug (Frank); Bricolage, The Dark Side of the House (Midnight Radio), A Dream Play (Solicitor), Operation: Homecoming. Off-off Broadway: ArcLight for Gad's Hill, Tartuffe (Orgon); The Rebecca Connolly Theatre, Push Up 1-3 (Hans). Film: Sorority Row (Dr. Rosenberg). For three seasons he was an Artistic Associate at the Virginia Stage Company. Up next: The Gammage Project for Pitt Rep and Death and the Maiden for Off-the-Wall Theatre Co.

Bria Walker

Bria Walker is in her first year as a Teaching Artist with the University of Pittsburgh. New York Theatre credits include:  Behold! The Fig Leaf Apron - workshop production (Fight or Flight aerial theatre company), The Doll Confessions (Lelund Durond Theatre Group - with original writings: Monk Monk’s Interlude & Tattered Love); Pittsburgh credits include: POP!, Marcus; or the Secret of Sweet (City Theatre); B.U.S. 7 (Bricolage Production Company); Every Tongue Confess, Last of the Line,The all female staged reading of Piano Lesson, & August in August directed by Mark Clayton Southers & Stephen McKinley Henderson (at the August Wilson Center - where she is a founding member of the August Wilson Center Theatre Ensemble); Antony & Cleopatra (Pittsburgh Irish & Classical Theatre). She holds an MFA from the National Theatre Conservatory in Denver, Colorado. 

Lisa Jackson-Schebetta

Lisa Jackson-Schebetta's work as a deviser and director has been seen at the American Globe Theatre, HERE Arts Center, chashama, and The Women's Project and Productions, among others. Previous devised/directed Shakespeare work includes: INSIDE THE BELLY OF THE BEAST WITH TWO BACKS (devised from OTHELLO) at HERE:The American Living Room Festival; HAMLET: AN ALL AMERICAN PLAY (devised from HAMLET) and TWO GENTLEMEN OF VERONA at American Globe Theatre, and 1ST WITCH, 2ND WITCH, 3RD WITCH (devised from MACBETH) at chashama. She is currently Assistant Professor of Theatre at the University of Pittsburgh. She holds a PhD in Theatre History, Criticism and Theory from the University of Washington, and an MFA in Theatre Pedagogy, with emphasis on voice and movement training and the actor-creator, from Virginia Commonwealth University. She is a member of the American Society for Theatre Research and the American Theatre and Drama Society.

Christiana Molldrem

Christiana Molldrem is a graduate student at the University of Pittsburgh. She received her BA in Theatre Studies and American Studies from Wellesley College. She also trained at the British American Drama Academy in London.  As an actor, favorite roles include: Sir Toby Belch in Twelfth Night,  Elizabeth in Jekyll and Hyde, and 2nd Witch in Purcell's Dido and Aeneas. Christiana is also a trained storyteller. Her storytelling programs include Johnny Tremain, The Whaleship Essex, Turkish Folktales and Revolutionary America. She has performed previously at The Winterthur Museum in Delaware, The Nantucket Whaling Museum, Wellesley College, and at community events in Philadelphia.

Dave Peterson

Dave Peterson is a PhD student in Theatre Arts at the University of Pittsburgh. He has served as dramaturg for Michigan State University and the Michigan Shakespeare Festival. His directorial credits at MSU and Pitt include ZOO STORY, ONE FOR THE ROAD, ‘NIGHT MOTHER, ROUGH FOR THEATRE I, NOBODY HERE BUT US CHICKENS, and BEND DOWN MY STRANGE FACE, the world premiere of a student work at the University of Pittsburgh. He is the advisor and playwright-in-residence for the University of Pittsburgh’s Red Eye Theatre Festival. He has assistant directed AS YOU LIKE IT (Pitt Rep), and was directorial overseer of the remount of SITS' LESSONS FROM THE BIRDS. Peterson recently directed the North American premiere of Finegan Kruckemeyer's THIS GIRL LAUGHS, THIS GIRLS CRIES, THIS GIRL DOES NOTHING at Pitt, and is remounting the production for touring with SITS. Peterson holds a BA in Theatre and History from the University of Michigan and an MA in Theatre from Michigan State University. Dave is a member of the Association for Theatre in Higher Education and the American Society  for Theatre Research.
